Knee Arthritis, Cartilage Tears, Patella Tendonitis, Runner’s Knee and knee ligament injuries are common knee problems that can occur secondary to sporting activities. Knee injury symptoms consist of knee pain, stiffness, swelling, muscle weakness, sometimes locking and ‘giving way’. Knee injuries are often caused by trauma or overuse.

Physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation is essential in the treatment and prevention of knee pain. Patella femoral pain (Chondromalacia) can be a result of poor biomechanical alignment. We have highly skilled physiotherapists & Podiatrists who can analyse your gait and biomechanics and treat any abnormalities with specific muscle retraining and possibly orthotics to correct the problem and help prevent reoccurrence.

Arthritis of the knee is a common problem with age. Pain, stiffness and pain on walking can be an indication of wear and tear.
